the basics
Very few people make it.
I know that.
But from all the people I’ve read about — in books, in films, in interviews — I’ve seen one thing:
they follow their hearts.
They risk comfort.
They say no a lot.
They go their own way.
It takes courage.
It gets lonely.
Sometimes even your closest people won’t get your vision.
And you still have to go.
Alone, if you must.
If I want to go far — really far — it has to be me.
I’ll have to do the work.
Smile, listen to myself, stay kind, stay disciplined, and go.
Just go.
Hopefully, the people I love will support me — my dad, my brother, my few true friends.
But even if not, I’ll still build it.
A space where people can just be.
Where they don’t have to shrink or hide or fake.
Where feelings are allowed.
Where love is quiet, not performative.
If I can do that for even a few people before I die —
I’ll feel like I did something right.
Right now, I’m still healing.
So I need to take care of the basics.
Sleep. Hydration. Food. Breath. Movement.
