dear friend, you got this
Dear friend, I hope you know how strong you are.
Since I’ve known you,
you’ve always spoken your mind.
You’ve been upfront about what you feel.
Not going to lie — we’ve had our share of arguments too.
But I understand you better now.
And you get me too.
We stand with each other, no matter what.
I know you don’t see it right now,
but this experience — as painful and unfair as it is —
is only going to make you stronger.
Wiser.
Softer, maybe. But in the best way.
It will humble you to the world.
And it’ll push you to grow in ways you didn’t expect.
You are a strong woman.
And you have your people — we are *right here* with you.
This is the time you’ll truly feel how powerful you are.
You won’t love the same way again —
but that’s not a bad thing.
You’ll have boundaries now.
You’ll think twice before trusting someone.
You’ll do your checks before letting anyone close.
And that’s okay.
That’s you evolving.
That’s layers being added to your life.
You’ll learn to depend on yourself more.
You’ll realise happiness is something you create —
not hand over to someone else to protect.
Because if we put it in someone else’s hands,
they might not take care of it.
Not if it’s not convenient for them.
If we depend on someone else to give us a home, food, and safety in a new city —
they might end up thinking of us as a burden.
And when it gets hard, they may walk away.
So what does this teach us?
That we *must* listen to ourselves.
That we *must* take care of ourselves.
There’s no escaping the relationship we have with ourselves.
If you ask yourself — *really* ask —
was there a moment it didn’t feel right?
You’ll know the answer.
We’re strong, independent women.
Depending on men in ways that compromise our freedom or dignity
will never feel right to us.
The world teaches us this, again and again —
sometimes gently, sometimes like this.
But you got this.
Today and every day from now on.
You’re an incredible human.
And these experiences — however painful —
will only add to your depth, your grace, your power.
I love you.
And I’m here.
